COMMENT:

Here is another shape that reminds me of the Danish masters' work. Boy, is that blast gorgeous or what! I love how deep it is, and the bird's eye on the bowl rim couldn't be brought out more with a sand jet. Again, notice how well shaped the "neck" is.

COMMENT:

Here's a truly traditional 1/2 bent Dublin, with an added silver band. The blast is quite deep, a testimony of the excellent Mastro blasting skills and the incredible value they offer. The pipe shows a combination of Ringblast and Crossgrain, with Bird's Eye being evident on several parts. The bowl top is smooth, with a light red stain, and it shows Bird's Eye. The pipe is of feather weight, and the slim saddle mouthpiece is bound to make the pipe a pleasure to clench on.

COMMENT:

This is what I believe is a true and authentic interpretation of the classic Calabash. I'm sure Sherlock Holmes would have been proud to add this pipe to his collection! Note the very tight angle between the bowl and the shank. Also, note the very tapered bowl shape, starting at the bowl rim at 41mm and going down to a mere 2mm at the bowl base. The pipe, in addition, shows a wonderful combination of Ringblast and straight/flame grain. It doesn't stop here. The pipe comes with an Army Mount, with a thick silver band, and a very elaborate mouthpiece design.
